St. John's Beaumont

St. John's Beaumont logoSt John's Beaumont is a successful boys preparatory school in Old Windsor with 350 pupils aged from four to thirteen years. As such, it is a charity having a range of charges and fee rates and, although its turnover would class it as a small/medium sized business, there are a number of peculiarities in its accounts which might lead to the need for specialist accounting software.

Indeed that is what the School used until 2001. The result was a complex package, not fully integrated, not user friendly, inflexible and imposing a heavy, costly training burden. St John's therefore sought a solution based on an industry standard which was flexible enough to cope with the specialist aspects of its accounts. It needed to be reliable, easy to use, well supported and competitively priced. TSG offered a package based on SAGE Payroll, SAGE Line 50 and EnterpriseMRM.

The transformation in the Bursar's office was dramatic. Notwithstanding the inevitable disruption caused by a change in system there was a significant immediate and sustained improvement in efficiency. The package generated confidence from the start and has needed a minimal amount modification and fixes. The ease of recruiting SAGE trained staff and the ease of obtaining inexpensive high-grade development training has been hugely beneficial. Software upgrades are readily available as needed but not imposed so frequently as to become an irritation.

TSG have been responsive to all our needs: a prompt, constructive attitude prevails. The School receives a personal touch and excellent continuity; it has no hesitation in endorsing TSG and the EnterpriseMRM solution. It has been a great success due to the inherent strengths of the system and to the helpful, expert work by TSG.

Arundel Castle Trustees Ltd

Arundel Castle Trustees LtdI am writing to say how pleased we are with the new ticketing system installed at the Castle by TSG.

As you know, the system was planned and installed at comparitively short notice, but allowing for the inevitable teething problems of any new system, it all went very smoothly and the equipment is now working well.

More importantly, I want to say that your support service has been second-to-none throughout this period. Whether we have needed telephone or on-line advice or actual on-site help, your response has always been prompt, efficient and above all helpful. It has been a pleasure working with you all and you have certainly made the whole process a good deal easier than it might otherwise have been.

Thank you all for this excellent support.

Integrated Ticketing, Gift Aid & Back Office Solution for Arundel Castle

Arundel Castle approached TSG in November 2003, as a leading Sage Partner with proven status as a PayPoint EPoS supplier, for an integrated solution to manage their ticketing, Gift Aid and back office function.

The solution was implemented just days before the 2004 season and consisted of front gate ticketing booths incorporating touch screen tills linking back to the main office Sage Line 50 accounts and EnterpriseSCS charity software. All information is centrally stored and reports are now very simple to produce.

Arundel Castle uses EnterpriseSCS to capture visitor information which can be used for future mailings and publicity and most importantly for automatically generating Gift Aid declarations.

One challenge we highlighted regarded the cabling restrictions faced by listed buildings, however because of the flexibility of our solution we were able to offer wireless and telephone links as an alternative.

Royal Meteorological Society

Royal Meteorological SocietyWe have a database of over 6000 members and subscribers to our journals, with many different categories of members with differing requirements. We selected Enterprise MRM because of its seeming flexibility to cope with a complex structure, together with features which appeared to be an excellent fit to our requirements. We have not been disappointed in practical reality.

It has brought real benefits in time saving by its automatic postings to Sage, fast credit card authorisations via Commidea and powerful reporting ability. Training and support have been first class from TSG. Whenever we do need help, the support personnel have always been able to resolve things quickly.

Since implementing Enterprise we have added the Web Portal to interface with our website and, more recently, the Event Manager module to help with the management of our conferences and meetings. The Event module links through Enterprise and into Sage which again should bring savings by avoiding multiple processing of bookings and payments. The combination of products now gives us the ability to introduce on-line payment, bookings and information flow through our website.

Institute of Translation & Interpreting

Institute of Translation & InterpretingThe Institute of Translation & Interpreting is the only independent professional association of practising translators and interpreters in the United Kingdom. EnterpriseMRM was introduced in 2000 and has been an invaluable asset in maintaining over 2500 member records. Processes such as renewals and reminders, sending bulk emails and compiling reports are made simple.

Also a big thank you to the support team at TSG who assisted in launching the Directory of Members on the ITI website last year and their support in all the times we have required assistance. Quick, reliable and personable........ thank you so much.

Duchess of Kent House Trust

Duchess of Kent House TrustI used Sage accounting products including Financial Controller for many years in the commercial world. So due to my experience and as Sage software is looked upon favourably in the 'not for profit' sector, both Sage Line 50 and Line 100 were considered for the Duchess of Kent House Trust.

We were already considering TSG's charity solution, so to learn that Sage Line 50 was linked to EnterpriseSCS was a bonus and proved a good choice, as we already knew how Sage worked and EnterpriseSCS is not a difficult product to learn.

As a charity, we do not use the bought and sales ledgers in the traditional way but are pleased with Sage, in particular for nominal reports for the board of trustees and even for returns to The Charity Commission and Companies House. Additionally, our Gift Aid tax reclaim process is made much easier with this program.

Hope Now

Hope NowI have used EnterpriseSCS for the past three years and found it a very useful tool for entering donations into SAGE whilst at the same time keeping track of Gift Aided giving. Without this "add on" all the information would have to be entered twice, once into SAGE and then again into whatever Gift Aid programme is used.

Upon request EnterpriseSCS works out the tax reclaim and prints out the form in a manner completely acceptable to the Inland Revenue. If you receive Gift Aid forms late you can still process these even though you may have already claimed for that tax year. The programme marks claimed records in a way that prevents you reclaiming on the same gifts. This gives peace of mind.

Telenor (UK) Limited

TelenorTSG has provided a multicurrency facility through the EnterpriseMRM package which was tailored specifically for our business. The system is fully integrated with Sage Line 50 and allows us to to raise a large volume of repetitive invoices in a number of currencies on a monthly basis. This has saved a great deal of time and also improved the accuracy of our billing process. By and large the system fulfils all of our billing requirements and TSG have taken time to fully understand both our initial and on-going system development requirements as dictated by the business.

In particular I would also like to commend the help desk for their prompt and efficient service and the helpful attitude of all TSG staff.

National Operatic & Dramatic Association

NODAThe National Operatic & Dramatic Association, the leading representative body for amateur theatre in the UK, made the decision to purchase EnterpriseMRM in March 2001. The primary reason was its ease of use with Sage, which we use as for our accounts.

Previously we had been running a separate membership database which did not communicate with Sage. This had led to frequent errors and misdirected invoices.

Implementing TSG's EnterpriseMRM and upgrading to Sage Line 50 proved to be just the ticket. A relatively simple to use system, it was the perfect solution for a small charity such as ourselves, where effective communication with our members is essential. We also appreciate the 'shopping list' quality of the product, whereby you can bolt on additional modules appropriate to your organisation, without being forced to buy them all up front.

Mark Pemberton, Chief Executive
National Operatic & Dramatic Association

British Microlight Aircraft Association

British Microlight Aircraft AssociationAs the newly appointed Chief Executive of the British Microlight Aircraft Association, I chose EnterpriseMRM as a replacement for our old bespoke membership management database system in 2000 because it provided a level of functionality, ease of use and value for money that we had not been able to find elsewhere. The fact that EnterpriseMRM could post membership transactions straight across to our Sage Line 50 accounts package was the "icing on the cake" for us, as it reduced the amount of computer "bookkeeping" support we required and kept our accounts much more up to date than they had previously been.

My staff, who were not all in the "first flush of youth", viewed the changeover to EnterpriseMRM from our old DBase DOS driven system, with which they had become very familiar, with some trepidation. Clearly EnterpriseMRM was so much more powerful and capable than the system they were used to and they were worried it would be much more complicated to use. I'm happy to say that they quickly got used to EnterpriseMRM and soon became confident using it for routine membership transactions. They were also delighted to discover how easy EnterpriseMRM was to use for mass mailing and for writing to individual members using pre-created form letters; they now make regular use of these functions.

TSG have provided us with all the support they promised and more. They responded quickly if not instantly to helpline enquiries in the early days when we were still learning to use the software and had forgotten some of the excellent training we had received. Since then they have worked with us to solve anomalies when we have upgraded our network system, changing printers and changing operating software on some parts of the network. One example of this was when their software engineers wrote a macro to allow us to print address labels for individual members directly from any PC on the network to a dot matrix label printer without affecting the operation of the default laser printer that prints our letters and other documents. Now when when we write a "one-off" letter to a member, EnterpriseMRM allows us to cut and paste the name and address details into the letter and while the letter is being printed an extra keystroke starts printing the label for the envelope too!

TSG support staff are professional, personable and reliable. Their engineers and help line staff take the trouble to get to know something about your business and how you operate so they can better support you; in fact we have come to regard some of them almost as friends.

We chose Sage Line 50 as the industry leader in accounting software for our size of business and now could not do without it. Line 50 allows us to produce accurate management information for our Treasurer, keep a close day to day watch over our finances and gives our accountants a head start with the annual audit. On the few occasions we have had to use it the Sage Support service has quickly helped us to understand and resolve any issues or anomalies.

Together Sage Line 50 and EnterpriseMRM provide my Association with a powerful, flexible and easy to use solution to our membership management and accounting requirements. I have no hesitation in recommending both products to any membership organisation.

New Life Christian Centre

New Life Christian CentreThe New Life Christian Centre is a thriving multi-national church based in South London. It embraces a wide range of activities including an independent primary school, a café in the local community and more than thirty other departments.

Operating as a registered charity and mindful of the need to manage its financial affairs efficiently and transparently, New Life Christian Centre invested two years ago in Sage software. It currently manages its accounts using version 10 of Sage Line 50 Financial Controller (multi-company, two users) and administers the remuneration of nearly sixty employees using version 10 of Sage Payroll.

Prior to transferring from its previous software to Sage, it was necessary to locate a product that would successfully handle the stringent requirements of the Gift Aid scheme for charities and, most importantly, integrate fully with Sage. On the recommendation of Sage, New Life Christian Centre was introduced to the EnterpriseSCS package marketed by TSG. It maintains donor and donation records and generates the appropriate documents for Gift Aid purposes. Additionally and to our great advantage, it effectively records grants made by this charity to individuals and institutions.

Having now utilised the Sage and the EnterpriseSCS software for two financial years, New Life Christian Centre is very happy to commend these products and also the support services offered by both Companies.

Earl Mountbatten Hospice

Earl Mountbatten HospiceFrom our experience of using EnterpriseSCS at The Earl Mountbatten Hospice we have found that it has been highly effective in avoiding duplication when operating from two sites, it is very easy to understand & operate and the support service is efficient & effective. We are pleased with the ease in which a gift aid submission can be generated.

My advice to anyone considering using EnterpriseSCS is to take care when transferring data from an existing database - many of our problems have arisen from poor information on a previous database - and if possible I would suggest starting from stratch.

The Lord's Taverners

The Lord's Taverners For over four years The Lord's Taverners have used EnterpriseMRM software to control and collect membership subscriptions, to act as the single contacts database, and to provide the data to collect Gift Aid. The financial functions of the system interface directly with Sage Line 100. As users we don't really notice the system because it works so well and never gives rise to problems.

Any problems are usually due to user error, thankfully the TSG Support team is always at the other end of the line to help rectify such errors in a professional and friendly manner!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our lives easier.

Airways Aero Associations Ltd

Airways Aero Associations LtdWe have had dealings with TSG for some seven years. In 1996 they set up and installed a new computer system for us, along with Sage software and a membership system.

Last year (2002) we upgraded our computer hardware. TSG upgraded our Sage software and installed their EnterpriseMRM membership system, transferring data from our old system to the new Enterprise system and they have provided extensive training and support for us.

This membership system has worked very well for us, making our membership (we have around 1000 members) very easy to maintain and monitor and, being linked to our Sage accounting package, it functions very well. It is a very simple process to send reminder letters for membership renewals, produce reports of varying types and even to send block e-mails to those members who have supplied their e-mail addresses.

Cosgrove Care

Cosgrove CareCosgrove Care is absolutely thrilled with the EnterpriseSCS software from TSG. Our Fundraising Officers as well as the Administration Team can view records effortlessly. The windows are clearly laid out and easily understood. Training new staff to use the programme has proved to be much easier than on previous software. Reports are easily accessed. The Support Team is quick to respond in a helpful way without the need to use lots of programming jargon.

We are glad to have found this software and have no hesitation in recommending it to other organizations. We have already done so.

Countess of Brecknock Hospice

Countess of Brecknock HospiceHaving used a Sage Accounting Package since our Hospice Charity was established in 1998, we were pleased to discover that a fundraising package had been produced which would link into Sage Line 50. The Sage system had fulfilled all our accounting needs but the charity was looking to install a programme to manage our growing database. EnterpriseSCS seemed the ideal solution. An initial meeting and demonstration at the offices of TSG convinced me and a member of our Board of Trustees that this was the programme for us. This proved a very wise decision and we have now been using EnterpriseSCS most successfully for the past 18 months.

Using EnterpriseSCS has cut down considerably on duplicate entries as all donations are automatically entered onto Sage, thus saving valuable man-hours. An added bonus is that EnterpriseSCS calculates all gift aid tax claims, another great time saver. Both Sage and TSG have provided excellent support on the occasions we have required help. Sage and EnterpriseSCS have lived up to our expectations and we are completely satisfied with the performance of both programmes. All our needs have been met and time saved means that we can dedicated more hours to the important task of raising funds for our Hospice.

Chartered Society of Designers & The Design Association

Chartered Society of Designers & The Design AssociationI first started using Sage in 1986 in private practice. When I became Chief Executive of the Chartered Society of Designers and the Design Association, one of my first moves was to introduce Sage accounting software. As a membership body with a royal charter and 4,000 members we needed to redevelop our database to offer the services that all professionals need - and quickly. On reviewing the products on the market, we opted for TSG's solution EnterpriseMRM due to its versatility and compatibility with Sage Line 50 and the genuine effort made by the sales and support staff to install and maintain the products. We have not been disappointed and I expect to be using the combined product for many years to come.

Romsey Golf Club

Romsey Golf ClubUsers of EnterpriseMRM Golf & Sage Line 50

Further to the appointment of our latest Club Secretary John Solly, we were determined to improve the administration of member subscriptions here at Romsey Golf Club. After finding that the incumbent 'Club2000' system was lacking the necessary automation, back office integration and reporting, we approached TSG to look at their EnterpriseMRM suite.

Following a swift installation and transfer of data from our old system to EnterpriseGCM, we have run this year's subscription renewals at the touch of a button and are already benefitting from added functionality, reporting and seamless integration to our Sage Line 50 accounts.

Merton College Oxford

Merton College OxfordUsers of EnterpriseMRM for Schools & Colleges

Merton College is one of the smaller Oxford colleges, with EnterpriseMRM looking after approximately 450 students and up to 100 fellows at any time. Two major requirements of the College were integration of a Student Billing system with Sage Line 100 accounts and the ability to export data simply to Microsoft Excel.

The College Accountant, says "TSG listened to our problems and understood our requirements. We had identified a number of operations which could be improved and these have been delivered as specified."

The College administers all information required to manage accommodation and course fees plus expense billing. Each member of the college is classified as a student, fellow, alumni or tutor, and then lodging details, accommodation charges, utilities etc are attached to each record. In addition, course fees are filed with method of payment or funding and details of the funding body, for example LEA or EPB.

The memo system attached to each contact allows comments to be recorded and shared comments and the solution provides a 'to do' list as a daily reminder. Access to linked records is via a series of screen tabs, so for any enquiry, the relevant information is at the user's fingertips.

"We have been extremely pleased with the support and service from TSG" the College Accountant continued. "The modifications have been relatively inexpensive compared to previous experience and the system has proven excellent value for money. When installing the system we took the opportunity to streamline our operation. With EnterpriseMRM we are able to check, correct and confirm all related financial transactions and only then do we transfer the key information into Sage Line 100."
