TSG implements SystemCare 2 IT Support for R Stahl
R Stahl Ltd is a leading supplier of explosion protection and material handling equipment for hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of a German parent company, R Stahl Ltd trades throughout the UK and Europe. Following steady growth and development in the past decade, the business needed a one-stop solution for its IT needs.

The customer objectives
R Stahl needed an IT supplier who could provide a fast response to issues, and who would manage their IT systems. Their existing infrastructure was eight years old, and the email server was at breaking point, working intermittently and unreliably. Jenny Brownlow, Company Secretary says: ‘Our IT network was generally in a very disparate state – and it needed simplifying. The TSG Solution
TSG helped to simplify R Stahl’s IT network, and released a large amount of the company’s time with the implementation of SystemCare, TSG's IT support solution which provides a fully managed service using TSG Remote, including the remote monitoring of system and network performance and regular weekly reports giving a detailed insight into the business’s IT issues. R Stahl also renewed all their PCs with the installation of new hardware throughout the offices, and brought their server infrastructure up to speed with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. The new server solution has all but eradicated any email problems, and has enabled staff to optimise their use of email, and maintain consistent internal and external communication, thanks to the elimination of system crashes.

Around 90% of R Stahl’s IT issues are now caught before they become problems, and fixed remotely before they can impact on business procedures. On the rare occasion when the company has required on-site assistance, TSG has responded quickly, sending engineers from a regional TSG service centre located within a five mile radius of R Stahl’s offices.
