Changes to your Opera payroll included in the 2014/2015 payroll release
- Employment Allowance - Starting from 2014/15 there will be an allowance of up to £2,000 per year available for business, charities and community amateur sports clubs to be offset against that business’s employers NICs. - Attachment Order - A new attachment type known as a Direct Earnings Attachment (DEA) is coming in and will be added within the software.
- SSP Recovery is to be abolished from 2014/15 - as such it will no longer be a part of P32 Processing so needs to be removed from the software.
- Automatic Enrolment – the Department of Work and Pensions are introducing changes to the automatic enrolment process; the changes are intended to, for example, provide more flexibility for the employers and to make the enrolment processes simpler.
- Student loan threshold – 2014/15 threshold will be added.
- FT Tax Code – From 2014/15, FT will no longer be a valid/accepted tax code.
