Field engineer solution for Energetics

Business profile

Energetics is a national utility connection company providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ service to the housing sector since 2006.

The business has since become renowned for its work with a variety of the UK’s leading housebuilders, housing associations, independent companies and construction firms.

The challenge 

Energetics aimed to digitally transform its existing paper-based system, originally used to notify its large installation workforce of their work packages, timesheet data and actual as-build information.

The driver for this was to reduce errors by streamlining a manual process which was prone to errors and could take weeks when transferring information between office-based and field employees.

The solution 

Energetics’ requirements were collected via a collaborative workshop, a design was then shaped by TSG and approved by Energetics. The solution was built on a platform encompassing SharePoint and PowerApps unified with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Employees were required to re-enter data into the Microsoft ERP solution, which proved to be time-consuming. Energetics now uses automated data capture, which reduces data re-entry.
