Senior Customer Success Manager

What is your role here at TSG & how do you support our customers?

I’m a Senior Customer Success Manager, with good general knowledge across all verticals – although I’m quite experienced in Engineering and Distribution.

I’m involved with the customer throughout their whole journey with TSG. I enjoy regular scheduled meetings with my customers, to update them on important aspects of technology and ensure their IT Systems support their business strategy. As the relationship manager between TSG and our partners, as well as scheduled quarterly meetings I ensure I am available to proactively contact customers adhoc if the need arises and be available for when the customer needs me

Tell us a little bit about your professional work history and the most important things you learned about building strong partnerships with customers

Ive had a varied career across multiple sectors. Starting on the phone in telesales for a Train Operating Company prior to progressing through various departments into management roles. From this role I moved to a National Drinks Wholesaler as a Customer Sales Manager which taught me a lot, before spending several years working for Sage.

I joined TSG in 2014 and have worked in several customer facing roles. Customer Success is a big interest to me, it allows me to build partnerships with my customers and ensure that I understand what their objectives are so that I can help to support them.

With a career across multiple sectors before becoming involved in IT I have learnt a lot. Prior roles have included my involvement in Supply Chain Optimisation Projects and heading up Business Continuity. All of this has helped me learn a lot of business priorities, situations and objectives. With 10 years’ experience in IT, and this background knowledge, this gives me good background to understand what our customers may be involved in.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re logged off from work?

I have 2 young boys so not much time is spare! Both are on junior league football teams so evenings and weekends are spent taking them to/from training and matches. I also coach on my youngest sons team, which I really enjoy. The coaching takes up quite a bit of time: planning sessions, arranging matches, evaluating last match, making sure parents and players turn up at the right place and time!

As a family we enjoy going for a walk most days (when football allows), it helps us switch off and get some fresh air an exercise.

I also enjoy going on holiday with the family – I’ll usually be by the pool with a beer in hand!
