TSG scoops two Sophos Partner awards

Leading IT services specialist, TSG (Technology Services Group) has been named by Sophos as their Small Business Partner of the Year for 2013.

TSG work with more than 5,000 small and medium sized customers across the UK and the award recognises their commitment to protecting them from the increasing level of security risk faced by businesses in today’s evolving technology environment.

An illicit economy has grown up around the world of malware, with more than 200,000 pieces of new malicious code generated every single day, making it essential to put in place tools that keep users ahead of criminal gangs whose creative and sophisticated techniques  are costing the economy £billions each year.

TSG Chief Operating Officer, Steve Cox believes customers value the strong relationship with Sophos, “We recently worked together on a series of events to educate and inform customers on the threats and the action they need to take to avoid any negative impact.”

“As businesses adopt new technologies, it’s critical that they understand the implications for their business practices especially around the use of mobile devices. It’s not only about ensuring that they have the best software solution but also that simple policies and good habits are in place.”

National Technical Director at TSG, Paul Burns has also been recognised by Sophos for his individual contribution at Sophos’ annual awards ceremony in Athens. Speaking after receiving the award, Paul said, “None of the IT systems and devices needed to run a business exist in isolation, and that dramatically increases exposure to security risks, data breaches and privacy violations.”
