IT Solutions Specialists, Technology Services Group (TSG) are celebrating picking up an award at the inaugural North East Blogger Awards held at the Lane7 Bowling ballroom.
The awards, on Wednesday evening, gave recognition to a host of blogging categories that included food, sports, beauty, lifestyle, parenting, business, style, travel, student, best newcomer and culminated in a special judges’ award for the North East Blogger of the Year.
TSG fought off stiff competition in the “Best Business Blog” category in the form of Hair & Beauty firm Hairtrade as well as fellow North East headquartered accounting software giants Sage.
Founded in 2003, TSG is trusted by thousands of customers across the UK, helping them to make the most of their investment in modern technology platforms. With seven Microsoft Gold Competencies and a Royal Warrant, more than 300 experts are equally at home with applications and infrastructure – both physical and cloud-based – as they are with the telecoms and connectivity that ensure everything works seamlessly.
“Blogger-In-Chief” Hazel Burton said “This award is great news for the business, and a fantastic achievement considering the blog only started 18 months ago.
“Our "Don't Get Blogged Down By Technology" Blog was created specifically to offer readers a jargon free insight into the world of technology and help demystify the many myths surrounding the intrepid world of IT.
“In the relatively short time we’ve been blogging there has been almost 170 blogs written and this grows on a daily basis. We’ve also struck a chord with partners within the industry featuring guest bloggers, the likes of Microsoft amongst our recent blogging authors.”
Carole Beverley, TSG’s Marketing & Communications Director added “I am absolutely thrilled that we’ve won the award for best business blog. It’s superb recognition for the fabulous work we’ve done to ensure that we keep our customers and readers up to speed with the ever changing world of Technology.
“The TSG blog is packed with topical commentary from a host of experts and its irreverent tone makes it appealing and fun which is perhaps why we have just recorded our 10,000th visitor.
“What’s also brilliant is that many of our colleagues within the business have taken to our blogosphere and it’s become part of our culture in terms of sharing views and exciting developments. Our enthusiastic bloggers come from a variety of departments, even the CEO, and as such guarantees a much wider coverage of relevant and informative topics”
