T00161 Service Desk Consultant (Back-ups)
We are currently looking to recruit a customer focussed, highly organised and motivated 2nd Line Service Desk Consultant with experience in Backup Technologies to join our existing team based in Bellshill, Lanarkshire.
Within this role you will be required to provide telephone and remote support on a wide range of IT hardware and software products to an established and growing base of Network Support customers. You will ensure that you respond to all support queries either via telephone or remote access in a timely manner ensuring that the highest quality of service is provided to our customers. Therefore, the ability to manage calls, scheduling of work and prioritisation are key to this role to ensure that service levels are continually met.
Key to this role is previous experience in Symantec Backup Exec and a hosted/on premise backup solution such as BTL, Asigra, Datto. A strong knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2012/2016), Windows SBS (2008/2011) is also advantageous to support the operating systems the backup technologies are hosted on. To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for delivering a first class technical customer service and the ability to make decisions, exhibiting sound, logical and accurate judgement.
What else do we need from you? Ideally experience in dealing with AV Protection either Trend, Symantec, Sophos, McAfee, storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Cluster) and hardware fault diagnostics.
