T0082 Bid / Tender Manager

Job Purpose

To provide bidding and tendering expertise to the Business Development and Account Management team, ensuring that all tenders are responded to and finalised to maximise pipeline opportunities. You will support the BDM/AD/Internal team to manage the relationship with the client as well as delivering commercially focussed, consistent and customer focused documentation and presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan and manage bid writing and tender presentations from outset to closure
• Take full ownership of the tender preparation and response process
• Liaise with the Business Development team and other relevant departments with regard to information required to enable the collation and presentation of tender responses
• Contribute to the TSG bid strategy and solutions
• Prepare and deliver presentations to new and existing clients to the highest standard
• Building accountable and scalable bid processes, standards and guidelines and run necessary workshops for the wider team
• Manage multiple stakeholders and provide timely and effective communications to all stakeholders throughout the bid/tender process
• Keep up to date on new technologies and market intelligence
• Hold regular review meetings with the BDM to analyse outcomes of each bid/tender
• Ensure all documentation relating to historical bids/tenders and current bids/tenders is stored effectively
• Draw to the attention of the SMT any issues which may affect the credibility of the company in the market place
• Promote a professional and credible image at all times

Mentoring and Leadership:
• Support and coach the BDM and Account Management team in the end to end bid/tender process
• Deliver training courses/workshops as appropriate

Your qualifications
• Degree level or equivalent

• Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with key stakeholders

• Ability to write consistent and compelling bid/tender documents

• Commercial awareness and a good understanding of business issues

Your experience

• At least 3 years’ demonstrable experience with the end to end process of writing and submitting of successful tenders
• At least 3 years’ experience within a Sales environment
• Background within the ICT Sector
• Background within and understanding of the SME Market
• Experience of dealing with senior management and business owner level
