Alright, so the video above is a piece of fun, but I hope you get the message. CRM has come a long way over the last 30 years.
It’s an application that you need to touch (physically and metaphorically). If your workforce is moving to a more mobile environment, then Microsoft Dynamics CRM on a touch device is a terrific experience.
Swipe across to browse the new navigation. Touch easily (even if you are blessed with huge fingers) buttons and action points. Still not caught the Windows 8.1 wave and use iPad? No problem: download the iPad app and connect to your internet facing CRM system with ease.
As a user, the interface and general experience is great. But as an administrator, I feel further empowered to make supportable changes that don’t require a developer.
Business rules allow me to show/hide information based on selectable criteria. I can make fields required, or add warnings to my users easily, ensuring data consistency, which in turn helps me market to the right people.
Using the business process interface, I can guide my users through the correct opportunity management lifecycle, or case management process, which in turn improves my customer’s experience.
I’m not going to go on and on about Yammer, but collaboration between and within teams is the way forward; these concepts are real and happening now. See ‘Stop, Yammer Time!’ for what I mean.
