GDPR Processes: Intelligent discovery, management and reporting
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) DEADLINE: May 2018
This FREE webinar is the final in our series of three. Sign up to the second in the series, which focuses on IT security, on our website or request a recording of the first GDPR Compliance webinar by emailing email@example.com.
TSG is helping customers across the UK prepare for GDPR, from the discovery of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to protecting that data and implementing policies and procedures that will keep them compliant.
This webinar will focus on key areas that are often overlooked when it comes to GDPR: discovering your PII, managing it and reporting on your data both internally, and reporting to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
You can’t secure your sensitive PII if you don’t know where it’s held. Your starting point might be obvious places like your ERP and CRM systems, but what about all of the unstructured data you hold in spreadsheets, documents and even in your email client? Your data could be spread across laptop and mobile devices, USB sticks, cloud storage…the list goes on. The task of identifying all of this data is not only incredibly time-consuming, it’s very prone to human error. This webinar will show you how you can automate this process and remove any risk of human error.
Through discovering all of your data, you’ll be able to see key information like who has access to it, where it’s held and how secured it is. From this you can begin to manage your data by moving it, categorising it, and assigning responsibility or revoking access. This will help you to remain compliant with GDPR as you have a single pane of glass through which you can view all of your PII data and easily see how secure it is.
Businesses must report data breaches to the ICO within 72 hours of discovering the breach, and the consequences of not reporting breaches or critical information can be more severe than data breaches themselves. This webinar will also show you how you can report to the ICO and use technology to provide evidence that you’ve done everything you could to mitigate any risks – which, if you’ve tuned into our first two webinars, you’ll have done.
