Housing Lunch & Learn: Cracking the cyber security code

Event date passed

Location: Microsoft Teams

Every day cyber security threats are growing in number, sophistication, and impact. Unfortunately, the housing sector has been identified as ‘at risk’, with a quarter of housing associations hit by cyber-attacks in 2020 (RSM’s Health of the Social Housing Sector survey, 2021).

With the risk of cyber-attacks greater than ever before, we’re hosting a cyber security Lunch & Learn session on Wednesday 29th June.

The TSG cyber security practice team will be there to advise you on how to build up a robust cyber defence to protect your organisation and avert future risks, and key to this, why you need to attain a certification, such as Cyber Essentials. You can read more about the importance of a cyber essentials certification in our latest blog.

During this session, Barry O’Donnell, Chief Technology Officer, and Mike Tudor, Operations Manager, will cover the following:

  • Cyber security threats
  • Prevention is better than the cure
  • Security can be complicated
  • Aligning to standards & frameworks, e.g. Cyber Essentials
  • Protecting your data in the cloud
  • Key takeaways
  • Q&A
