TSG Win Regional HR Award

TSG are celebrating after picking up an award at The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development’s North East Awards ceremony held at the NewcastleGateshead Hilton Hotel.

The CIPD North East Awards saw businesses of all sizes that are based in, or operate from, the North East compete for six different categories of awards ranging from “Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace” to “Excellence in HR”.

TSG fought off stiff competition in their category from global opposition in the form of the underwriting branch of Tesco as well as IHC Engineering Business Ltd. to claim the “Excellence in Developing People” Award.

Offering IT services, Business Software, Telecoms Solutions and IT Security specific to individual business requirements TSG currently employ 450 people in 12 regional offices across the UK from Aberdeen to Basingstoke.

CEO David Stonehouse said “This award is great news for the group, and shows just how much effort we put into ensuring we deliver the most professional experience possible for our customers.

“As a leading provider of CRM software, cloud computing and specialist services such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage Software, SharePoint and Pegasus business software it is key that TSG’s technical specialists and engineers are as knowledgeable as possible.”

In the last 12 months TSG have invested heavily in the Learning and Development on offer for their staff which has resulted in an increased level of technical and managerial skills across the organisation.

This has resulted in a total of 315 staff members successfully attend 112 technical courses that were delivered both internally and externally. This amassed to over 650 total days of training and development delivered to the team.

TSG have implemented a new internal management portal which has acted as a ‘one stop shop’ for all staff featuring:

• An online internal training calendar for all staff to view and research their development opportunities.
• A suite of interactive management development courses and workshops delivered.
• Officially certified Microsoft Accreditations delivered in-house.

Ayshea Robertson, Director of Human Resources at TSG who picked up the award on behalf of the company was delighted to have their first award submission recognised so highly.
