TSG’s Dynamics experts exhibiting at User Group Summit Europe 2019

It has been confirmed that two of TSG’s Microsoft Dynamics experts will be presenting three sessions at the User Group Summit Europe event from 27th – 29th March 2019 at the RAI Amsterdam.

TSG’s CRM Consultant Matt Collins and Head of Productivity Practice Sergio Giusti will be leading the sessions, covering Word templates, Dynamics 365 certifications and PowerApps.

User Group Summit Europe is a peer-to-peer focused conference dedicated to end-user education and networking around Dynamics 365 and Microsoft productivity solutions. The conference is a great opportunity for the team to share their expertise, as well as enriching their own learning and knowledge.

Matt said: “The User Group Summit Europe is the premier event for the Dynamics 365/PowerPlatform community. Microsoft staff, MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals), subject-matter experts, partners and independent software vendors (ISVs) are just some of the attendees so the wealth of knowledge in one place is astounding! I’m looking forward to talking to as many people as possible about what they are using the technology for, if they are having any issues I can help with and if they can teach me something new; it’s very much a community event.

“I’m excited about the presentations; not just my own, but also listening to experts from around the globe talk about new ways of working, new features and functionality, from mixed reality to artificial intelligence, from marketing to projects; there will be something for everyone at this event.

“At the end of the three days, I’m expecting all attendees, myself included, to come away from the event re-energised with loads of new ideas and solutions we can apply in our day jobs, new ways of thinking and a greater awareness of what the technology can accomplish in this fast-paced, ever-evolving ecosystem.”

The first of the three sessions will be held at 4pm on Wednesday 27th March. Titled ‘Dynamics 365 Certifications – Why, When, Who, How…’, this session will aim to answer questions surrounding the qualifications available to businesses and go through the benefits to both employee and employer of investing in training. Our experts will also break down the criteria of a typical Dynamics certification exam to help participants understand what to revise and the best resources to use.

With the October update to Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, users can now embed canvas apps directly into Dynamics 365. The second session on Thursday 28th March at 10.15am, titled ‘Using PowerApps to Reduce Complicated Dev for Dynamics 365 CE’, will demonstrate how this update allows for an enriched user experience whilst keeping the user in the same environment. Our experts will explain how PowerApps can be used to outsource complicated dev requirements, letting the application do the work of running through any lookup and calculations, with the output going straight into the Dynamics environment. This talk will put the spotlight on PowerApps and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement’s ability to work in harmony on the PowerPlatform.

The final session, on Friday 29th at 10.15am, titled ‘Word Templates – Building Them, Making Them Look Pretty and Automating Them’, will highlight the variety of helpful uses for Word templates such as replacing quotes, reports and letters. The presentation will demonstrate how to build them, overcome limitations and automate their creation, convert to PDF and send via email with Microsoft Flow. One of the major benefits of creating templates in this way is that no custom coding is required and the tasks that will be demonstrated can be achieved by users of any experience or level. This how-to session will use real-life examples to explain the many ways users could use Word templates to improve efficiency and productivity in their business.

Sergio, who will be supporting Matt in one of the presentations, said: “I’m looking forward to meeting new people from different product areas and to attending some of the sessions to see what new features are coming into Dynamics and generally expand my knowledge of the product.

“I hope attendees will gain new insights and knowledge from our presentation on how the two variants of PowerApps can work together to bring an enhanced user experience.”
