Microsoft has announced 2nd April 2018 as the long-awaited release date of Dynamics 365 Business Central.
This significant update to Dynamics 365 will see “the full power of Dynamics NAV” become available in the cloud as part of the end-to-end Business Management System (BMS) that will be a single pane of glass for finances, operations, sales, marketing and customer service.
Dynamics 365 is designed to be a scalable solution that can be deployed quickly and built upon, much like Dynamics NAV, to fulfil customers’ specific industry and business requirements. A deep integration with Office 365 and the ability to be tailored with PowerApps, Power BI and Flow solutions means Dynamics 365 can be 'customised' as much as you need.
With Dynamics 365 you can manage your customer journey end-to-end, from prospect to sales and invoicing. You can manage all aspects of your financials, improve your customer service, manage projects and stick to budget, optimise operations and your supply chain; and that’s only scratching the surface.
Our Dynamics experts are busy exploring all aspects of Dynamics 365 Business Central to ensure we can give you all of the information you need ahead of its launch next month.
As a Microsoft partner with 8 Gold competencies, including Gold Enterprise Resource Planning, Gold Cloud Customer Relationship Management and Gold Cloud Productivity (Office 365), TSG can offer you the insights you need to understand if Dynamics 365 will benefit your business.
The TSG Dynamics team is working on a series of webinars that will help you understand what Dynamics 365 can do for your business which will be announced in the next couple of days.
This launch comes as part of Microsoft’s spring 2018 release for Microsoft Business Applications, which has a strong focus on digital transformation and incorporates three key areas:
- New business applications
- New intelligent capabilities infused throughout
- Transformational new application platform capabilities
TSG’s Applications Partner Manager Steven Osprey says of this launch: “Dynamics 365 Business Central is what our customers have been crying out for – full Dynamics NAV capabilities in the cloud.
“It has the potential to deliver the power and functionality of NAV at a much lower price point, particularly when it comes to upfront costs. The great thing is it can be deployed immediately and built upon as a customer’s requirements increase, or tailored from the beginning. Whatever works best for your business.
“We regularly see customers who have moved their emails, files, and productivity solutions into the cloud, but still have to maintain on-premise servers to host their ERP system. For a lot of customers, this changes all that.
“We’ve been waiting for this for around 6 months, when the release was delayed and the status of Dynamics 365 was up in the air. It feels like in those 6 months we’ve made far more progress than expected – this will definitely be worth the wait!”
In his blog on the spring 2018 release, Microsoft Corporate Vice President James Phillips comments: “Microsoft is the only provider of a modern, unified and intelligence-infused family of business applications that span the breadth of business processes – across marketing, sales, service, operations, finance, talent and commerce; all powered by a business analytics and application platform, built atop a common data model, on Azure, our planet-scale public cloud, connected to Office 365 and the world’s largest professional network, LinkedIn.
“It is this collection of integrated capabilities spanning the Microsoft Cloud that supercharge Dynamics 365, creating what we believe is an unmatched platform for digital transformation.”
