A world-class team...literally!
We've recently been announced as a charter member of Microsoft's brand-new prestigious SharePoint Business Applications Partner Program thanks to our work with SharePoint and its supporting Office 365 apps PowerApps, Flow, Forms and Power BI. Not only is TSG one of only 11 partners worldwide to be included, we're the ONLY UK-based partner on the programme! Find out what this means for TSG and our customers.
TSG’s Office 365 specialists are expertly placed to support you in configuring your compliance and security settings, with regular exams and certifications undertaken to prove their knowledge and skills are always up-to-date.
To keep all of your new Office 365 data safe, it’s also worth considering Backupify at this point.
TSG can help you on your journey to full utilisation of Office 365 and ultimately on your digital transformation journey. From Office 365 support to Microsoft Office 365 renewals, training and Microsoft 365 planner, the team at TSG can support you with your Office 365 requirements.
Your starting point on the Office 365 journey will be familiar; you’ll likely be using on premise Microsoft Exchange, maybe an old version, with an aging email server and the perennial issue of mailbox size. Your migration to the cloud will be limited, if you’ve started the move at all. It’s likely that your users are on different versions of Office suites.
You may be aware of Office 365 but don’t know much about it beyond emails in the cloud and an updated Office suite. This is where TSG’s experts come in. With our extensive experience, not only in the full Microsoft story but in Office 365 and SharePoint particularly, we’re expertly placed to help you implement Office 365 from the early stages right through to full digital transformation.
How can Office 365 support you in complete digital business transformation?
Choose licenses and migrate
You’ll probably want to focus on fixing your email issues and those bloated inboxes first. Moving your emails into the cloud is a critical initial step on the Office 365 journey, and there are two options. You can use a standalone Exchange Online plan or, for only 80p extra per user per month, you can sign up for Office 365 Business Edition. Even on this basic Office 365 package you’ll have access to Teams, Skype, OneDrive, Yammer, SharePoint and web versions of your Office suite.
There are a number of licensing options available to you, based on your business and your users’ needs. What’s more, you don’t need to buy the same licenses for everyone. Find out more about the licensing options available to you.
Migrate files, consider security and compliance
Once you’ve migrated your files, it’s time to take a closer look at Office 365’s comprehensive security features. You’ll likely be looking at using the Enterprise Mobility + Security to manage some security across apps, devices, users and data. Intune helps keep your sensitive, business-critical data secure without compromising the mobile experience. You can determine the rights of your users, such as resetting their own passwords and joining groups, and manage single sign on.
Once you’ve got your basic user-level and administrator-level security in place, you can start to build upon that using Microsoft’s extensive security features, ensuring you protect your business-critical data. The natural first step up is using multi-factor authentication, reducing the chance of hackers or spoofers accessing your colleagues’ Office 365 accounts. Find out more about Office 365’s inbuilt security features, including Compliance Manager which helps you comply with GDPR, ISO and many more industry-recognised standards.
Discover your productivity apps
You’ve got the essentials of Office 365 nailed down and your staff is comfortable using both cloud and on-premise versions of Word, Excel and so on. You know that there are more tools that are available as part of Office 365 but having never used them before, you’re not sure where to start. Seeing all of the available applications in your dashboard can be intimidating, but that shouldn’t put you off.
We run a series of workshops and webinars dedicated to demystifying the wealth of Office 365 applications at your fingertips. Our Office 365 experts provide live demos of innovative tools including Planner, Teams, PowerApps and Flow, and are on hand to answer your burning questions.
If you don’t believe us, check out some of the feedback we’ve received on our Office 365 workshops:
The Office 365 workshop was extremely valuable, and I learnt a great deal about how to maximise the software not only for our marketing team, but for the business as a whole. I would highly recommend this workshop to my colleagues, and to other organisations using 365 or looking to make the transition.
Margot Rayner, Marketing and Events Coordinator, The Chartered Banker Institute
I thoroughly recommend TSG's Office 365 workshop. It has opened my eyes to how powerful and beneficial Office 365 can be working in our company.

Adopt collaboration apps
Along with its powerful productivity offering, Office 365 has some of the most powerful collaboration applications available to businesses, and depending which license you choose, most of these tools will come at no extra cost. Skype for Business, Teams and SharePoint are enterprise-grade solutions that are now available to you at no extra cost as part of Office 365.
Skype for Business is revolutionising the way colleagues interact, with the ability to initiate voice or video calls and conference calls, or instant message colleagues with a quick query. Skype for Business also gives presence information, so you’ll always know if your colleague is around to take your call.
Just over a year old, Teams is at the forefront of communication in Office 365. You can collaborate office-wide, team-wide or individually via streams, chats and file-sharing. It’s the ultimate collaboration hub that our Senior Office 365 Specialist Tony Hughes thinks could replace email! You can work together on documents, share news and information all within one area.
Now you can also make the step up to a tool that was once only available to large enterprises: SharePoint. It’s one of the most versatile collaboration and document management tools to exist and now comes as standard with Office 365. With SharePoint you can build better business processes, achieve compliance and maintain digital and physical assets.
SharePoint is a powerful document management solution that can help you maintain accreditations by rigorously controlling your documents and processes. Our experts have deployed thousands of innovative and cost-saving SharePoint solutions and can work with your business to produce a genuinely tailored solution designed to tackle your organisation’s toughest processes and challenges. You might not realise when you’re using the apps, but SharePoint actually underpins a number of Office 365 tools including Teams and Planner.
You’re now heading towards complete business transformation, and there’s still more Office 365 functionalities that can help you achieve that.
Build apps & forms and automate processes
By now you’ve really gotten to grips with Office 365 and the wealth of functionality at your fingertips. This is where it gets really exciting. Once a project that would have cost tens of thousands of pounds, building apps is now a piece of cake with PowerApps. With an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, you can create forms and surveys quickly and easily. Of course, as experts in PowerApps, TSG’s Office 365 team can help you with the really complex apps at a fraction of the cost.
Similarly, workflow automation has historically been the domain of the large enterprise, but with Flow you can automate processes from the simple to the complex. And with hundreds of pre-built templates and another easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, getting started couldn’t be more straightforward.

You’ll be able to utilise the entire suite of Office 365 applications which Microsoft is adding to continually. PowerApps, Flow, MyAnalytics and Power BI will take your use of Office 365 to the next level and help you achieve business transformation by automating processes and providing you with powerful analytics.
To ensure your users are always up-to-date with Office 365 and its latest features, 365 Cloud Academy is a tool you should be implementing; it’s an online portal with all of your ongoing training requirements wrapped up. What’s more, we’re planning even more Office 365 webinars showing you how to tap into the potential of Office 365.
