Creative Computing Acquisition FAQs

As part of our continued investment in growth, TSG has acquired Creative Computing. While this is an exciting step for both businesses, we know customers and employees may have some questions. We’ve taken the chance to answer the main ones below.

What has been announced?

TSG has acquired Creative Computing, an established Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central partner based in Maidenhead, in a multimillion-pound deal.

Creative Computing is now part of TSG, strengthening TSG’s Business Central practice and adding specialist capability across the production and media sectors.

Why is TSG acquiring Creative Computing?

Creative Computing is a natural fit for TSG as we continue to invest in our Microsoft-led growth strategy. The business brings technical expertise, an established customer base and specialist knowledge.

For us, this is about bringing a high-quality Business Central business into the group, while giving Creative Computing’s customers access to more support, more services and more technical depth over time.

Why Creative Computing specifically?

Creative Computing has built a strong reputation over the past 35 years, particularly for its specialist work across TV, film and media. Its team understands Business Central, but it also understands the specialist needs of the customers it supports.

That matters to us. We wanted a business that was technically strong, customer-focused and a good fit for the way we have always worked.

What does this mean for Creative Computing customers?

Your contract does not change. Your support does not change. Your day-to-day contacts do not change.

Customers will continue to have access to the Creative Computing team they already know, including key contacts such as Justin Farmiloe, Matt Ash and Jan Barratt.

What role will Justin Farmiloe have at TSG?

Justin Farmiloe will become Chief Technology Officer at TSG, ensuring continuity as Creative Computing becomes part of the wider TSG group.

Justin will continue to help shape Creative Computing’s technical direction, customer relationships and specialist TV and media capability as part of the wider TSG business.

What additional services will Creative Computing customers be able to access?

Creative Computing customers will gain access to TSG’s wider range of services, including cloud, infrastructure, managed IT services, business applications, cyber security, data, AI and broader Microsoft solutions support.

They will also be able to benefit from TSG Academy - an extensive online training and learning platform for customers. Customers can use it to build their knowledge in areas such as cyber security, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Solutions and Pegasus.

What happens to the Creative Computing brand?

Creative Computing’s existing employees will join TSG’s workforce and continue to work from the existing Maidenhead and Pennsylvania offices. The leadership team will join TSG, ensuring continuity and helping shape the future direction of the business.

For the short-term, Creative Computing will retain its overarching brand, and any changes will be communicated to customers clearly.

Will Creative Computing’s specialist TV and media apps still be supported?

Absolutely. Just-TV, Just-ROYALTIES and Just-TALENT will remain in place and continue to be supported and developed as part of TSG.

These apps are a real strength of Creative Computing and one of the reasons the business is such a good fit for TSG.

What does this mean for TSG?

The acquisition doubles the size of TSG’s Business Central practice and strengthens its Microsoft-led growth strategy. It increases the business’ headcount by c. 8%.

More importantly, it brings in a team with strong customer relationships, specialist sector knowledge and technical expertise that complements the wider TSG business.
