TSG recruited to advise Microsoft on a global scale

Technology giant Microsoft has invited Newcastle based IT specialists Technology Services Group on to their elite global advisory council for key partners.

The bi-annual meeting held at Microsoft’s Seattle HQ is attended by just 27 official reseller partners from all over the world and Technology Services Group (TSG) is one of only two UK businesses honoured with a seat at the council.

Paul Burns, National Technical Director at TSG, explains the importance of this recognition having recently returned from Seattle. “As one of the UK’s largest end to end IT solution resellers this is huge news for TSG. The Global Partner Advisory Council gives us a great chance to talk to other large partners from around the world as well as represent our customers directly in front of Microsoft.

“The Council is the perfect platform to feedback to Microsoft what we see amongst their product stack working well or not for our customers. So we have an opportunity to influence the development and delivery of their products which will ultimately improve the experience for our customers.”

TSG’s CEO David Stonehouse added “This recognition shows how Microsoft value TSG as a key partner with a suitably influential audience of good, mid-market sized businesses.

“Our envied status as a Microsoft partner demonstrates that we have the right breadth of experience and expertise across everything from Dynamics NAV and SharePoint to Office 365. This means that we’re perfectly aligned to support our customers’ investments in their IT strategies as they grow with us.”

TSG are also representatives on Microsoft’s UK advisory Council and in June will be one of only a dozen UK reseller partners invited to participate in discussions around how the latest “Windows 10” operating system will be launched into the UK market and review what features will be included at release.

Earlier this year TSG also announced achieving Microsoft’s Gold Level Competency Award for ‘Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions’. The Gold Level demonstrates “Best in Class” capability and brings TSG’s total Gold Competencies to an impressive haul of 6.
