Sage 200 and Office 365 for Young Scot

Digital transformation with Sage 200c and Office 365

Business profile

Young Scot has been operating for over 30 years as Scotland’s national youth information and citizenship charity for 11-26-year-olds.

The organisation helps young people transition to adulthood and make informed decisions about their life by providing timely, relevant information and guidance.

The challenge

The organisation’s core business applications were becoming outdated and sat in isolation from one another, presenting issues with productivity and security.

The organisation needed to modernise its IT setup and move to the cloud to not only improve communications and streamline business processes, but to take a step on the road to digital transformation.

“Having Sage 200c integrated with Office 365 delivers real value with dashboards to give us the information we need quickly. It’s exciting to know that we can tailor our Sage 200c solution if required when developments are released. Our move to Office 365 has dramatically transformed the way we work and communicate as a team.”

The solution

As Young Scot’s trusted technology partner for 20 years, TSG was expertly placed to recommend the right solutions to help the charity kickstart its digital transformation strategy.

TSG implemented Sage 200cloud, which had recently been released with innovative new features including an integration with productivity powerhouse Office 365.

This integration allowed Young Scot to replace its legacy business systems with Office 365 and take advantage of the deep integration between the two solutions, including utilising dashboards with real-time information and financial data in Outlook.

The organisation also became one of the first in the UK to take advantage of the Bank Feeds functionality, a bank reconciliation tool which eliminated the requirement to repeat data entry between multiple systems.
