Housing associations hold some of the most sensitive data of any sector: tenant records, safeguarding and support needs, property safety documents, staff files and financial information. That makes the sector a target, and attackers are no longer picking locks; they are logging in. Most attacks now begin with a stolen or phished password (a login handed over after a convincing fake email) rather than anything technically sophisticated.
The pressure is building on both sides. Recent incidents across housing and the wider not-for-profit sector have seen stolen data end up published online, and cyber insurance is getting harder and more expensive to secure. At the same time, the Regulator of Social Housing and the Information Commissioner's Office (the UK's data protection regulator) expect landlords to show they are protecting the data they hold, with any breach reported within 72 hours. AI adds a new dimension. Wherever AI tools are in use, deliberately or not, they can become a route for sensitive information to leave without anyone noticing.
This webinar cuts through the noise. Our cyber specialist Dan will walk through what is happening to housing associations right now, what AI means for your data and your security, and the practical steps you can take to reduce risk without needing a bigger team or a bigger budget.
