Introducing The 1st TSG Tech Summit

We’re extremely excited to announce that we will be hosting our very first Tech Summit on 21st January 2021.

The TSG Tech Summit will be an all day, virtual event exclusively for our customers. Our experts will aim to help you understand how to get the most out of your Microsoft products, as well as how to scale your business with innovative tech and applications. We will also look at the future of IT in the new world, and how your organisation can adapt and overcome challenges you may face as we transition.

Our experts will take you through various training sessions and workshops throughout the day, segmented into two different tracks. Each track will provide you with information tailored to specific areas of interest for your organisation.

Track 1: Executive

This track is for those of you who want to understand the value of using Microsoft and other products to help grow and scale your business.

Track 2: Technical

This track will focus on how you can implement specific technologies such as automation and streamlining your business activities and products into your IT infrastructure.

Technical: ‘The art of the possible with Power Virtual Agents’ with Office 365 Practice Manager, Shehzad Amin

Users and citizen developers can develop Chatbots through Power Virtual Agents powerful authoring canvas. The authoring canvas also allows you to add more sophisticated functionality at each step, turning a simple conversation flow into a more complete process.

This session will demonstrate the creation and development of a Power Virtual Agent through the authoring canvas. The demonstration will cover aspects such as creating an FAQ guide for new starters, as well as looking at more complex bots through the ability to add “calls to action”, trigger workflows that leverage Power Automate, and retrieve information from different systems including SharePoint lists and search.

Executive: ‘Do you know what your data is doing?’ with Senior Business Intelligence Consultant, Carl Hunter

Data is everywhere, its confusing, its messy, its raw. Do you know what your data is doing? In this session we’ll cover what business intelligence is, why should you care, and how to get started on your business intelligence journey

Tech: ‘How Microsoft Azure can help improve your IT infrastructure’s resilience and flexibility’ with Operations Infrastructure Analyst, Andrew Fox, and Operations Manager, Mike Tudor

A closer look at some of the Azure technologies that can enable IT infrastructure to better scale and react to unplanned events. In this session we’ll cover some of the functionality of these features and how they can be utilised to minimise downtime and improve performance.

Exec:Demystifying the Power Platform to drive positive transformation’ with D365 CE, Traveller & Power Platform Practice Manager, Ilyas Khan

A high level overview of how businesses can leverage Microsoft’s low-code line of business platform, the Power Platform, to enable efficient productivity in line with business governance and compliance. This session will also take a look at how businesses can enable line of business decision makers to be directly in control of solutions, supporting them to harness and maximise business “data”, turning it into an asset to drive powerful actionable insights.

Business intelligence has historically been deployed as an on-premise solution, however, its time to look to the clouds! In this session, we will review the SaaS based business intelligence platforms TSG offer.

Exec: ‘How can your business harness the power of Power Virtual Agents?’ with Office 365 Practice Manager, Shehzad Amin

Power Virtual Agents (PVA) are the newest member of the Power Platform. PVA empowers users and citizen developers to create AI chatbots. Chatbots can solve common issues through their ability to automatically respond and deal with queries or issues without the need for human intervention.

This session will explore how your business can harness Power Virtual Agents and how it can be used by subject matter experts to directly author and configure bots. It will highlight how PVA can drive continuous improvement throughout the business.

Tech: ‘Power Platform technologies for digitally enabling processes that span outside of your organisation’ with Senior Solutions Architect for D365 and Power Platform, Andrew Wolfe

A look at the technologies that allow data stored in Microsoft’s cloud to be enabled for external partners, customers and representatives to view and update. In this session we will cover how to use Power Apps Portals and Canvas Apps from outside of your organisation while retaining security and ownership of your data. This session will present the technologies and then show a demonstration of what they look like in use and outline how they are configured and licensed.

Exec: ‘Is your IT service strategy sufficiently scalable and resilient to handle unforeseen incidents?’ with Operations Infrastructure Analyst, Andrew Fox, and Operations Manager, Mike Tudor

A high-level overview of some of the limitations traditional IT infrastructure faces regarding responsiveness and resilience to unplanned events, such as the recent global pandemic. In this session we’ll cover some of the benefits that even a partial cloud migration can bring to keeping your business running smoothly.
