TSG Announces Free Technology Trial to UK Businesses for GDPR

As businesses look to come to terms with the implications of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), TSG is delighted to offer a free trial of our PII Discovery Tool.

PII or personal identifiable information sits at the heart of GDPR but many businesses aren’t fully aware as to the extent of the data they hold, how the data is categorised or even where it is held across their systems.

TSG’s PII Discovery Tool combines Termset ScanR with a Qlik Sense dashboard to allow users to analyse the results of their investigation and drill down in to specific detail.

For businesses that may hold a large volume of PII, it’s likely to be a very time-consuming process to manually check documents, highlight sensitive information, categorise and apply restrictions and policies.

TermSet ScanR effectively reads documents using sophisticated Natural Language Processing technology and can identify 21 pre-classified types of personal information. It can also be ‘taught’ to recognise almost any combination or pattern of characters.

Most importantly, unlike other solutions Termset ScanR can search and check not only Office 365 and Exchange but also on premise SharePoint libararies, local fileshares and even databases, effectively scanning your entire data estate.

The free 5-day trial allows businesses to scan up to 1000 documents and will provide an insight both in to the PII held and also the simplicity and efficiency offered by TSG’s PII Discovery tool.

The trial includes remote install of the tool and overview training to get users up and running with Qlik desktop.
